Privacy Policy
Last updated July 20, 2026
OutingList is an event listing site: we gather public event announcements for Atlanta into one place. This policy explains, in plain language, what information we handle and what we do with it.
What we collect
Account information. If you create an account, sign-in is handled by Clerk, our authentication provider. We receive and store your email address, your display name, and an account ID. We never see or store your password.
Things you do on the site. Lists you make, events you post or save, likes, and change reports you submit are stored so the product can work. Public lists and posted events are visible to other visitors, with your display name attached.
Uploads. If you scan a flyer or upload an image, we store the image so it can be attached to an event listing.
Basic usage data. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is privacy-first: it does not use cross-site tracking cookies, does not fingerprint you, and shows us only aggregate numbers (page views, country-level location, browser type). We also keep standard server logs briefly for debugging and abuse prevention.
Event data comes from public sources
Most events on OutingList are collected from publicly posted calendars, feeds, and event pages. That information (titles, dates, venues, images) belongs to the event organizers — we point people to them and link back to the original source wherever we can.
If you are an organizer and want a listing corrected or removed, email hello@outinglist.com and we will handle it quickly.
How we use information
To run the site: showing events, keeping your lists and saves, sending you back to the page you were on after sign-in.
To personalize: your likes and saved events power the "For You" recommendations. This happens inside OutingList only.
To keep the site healthy: moderation, spam and abuse prevention, and rate limiting.
What we do not do
We do not sell your personal data. We do not share it with advertisers. We do not run third-party ad trackers.
The only third parties that process your data are the services we run the site on: Cloudflare (hosting, database, analytics) and Clerk (sign-in). Each processes data only to provide their service to us.
Cookies
We use a session cookie to keep you signed in, and Clerk sets its own cookies for authentication. That is it — no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Your choices and deleting your data
You can edit your display name and bio from your profile, and delete lists or events you created at any time.
To delete your account and its data, email hello@outinglist.com from the address on the account and we will remove it.
Children
OutingList is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes and contact
If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we will update the date at the top of this page.
